Ekaterina(Katya) Arnaoutova is a third generation circus performer from a renowned Russian family. She was born in Moscow, Russia, but started traveling and working with her family at the age of two and a half. She began her career in the Great Moscow Circus. Then, she was one of the very first Russian performers to join the prestigious Cirque du Soleil in 1990. She toured with two of their productions; Fascination and Nouvelle Expérience. Afterwards, her new home base became Montreal, Canada for over a decade. There, her father Dmitrii founded his own circus company: Cirque Nouvel Air, in which Katya was the feature performer. In 2006, Katya relocated to Las Vegas to be part of the creation of Cirque du Soleil's Beatles Love in which she performed for over eight years, totaling approximately 4,000 shows. She has worked with famous entities like James Cameron and Pharrell Williams and performed for celebrities like Paul McCartney and Tom Hanks. Today, Katya is an independent performer, coach, and choreographer as well as an acrobatic and technical consultant. Her two feature aerial acts are Vortex (aerial hoop) and Serpentine (aerial straps) and her newest original ground act on a unique apparatus she designed is The Incandescent. Katya is always working hard to push boundaries in the goal of keeping the circus arts thriving, innovating, and growing amongst new generations of performers.
